Generic list: (in case of no sub plan)
Period 1: AP English. Ask students to read the essay On Visiting Bookshops and write a 200-word analysis of the rhetorical strategies, especially paying attention to how Morley uses metaphor and analogy to capture his view of bookshops and the proper attitude towards the,.
Period 2: 10th Grade English. First, ask them to write for 10 minutes on their views of technology. Then, ask them to read It’s Social Networking for Babies. (both pages). Please answer these questions:
- What exactly is Totspot and how does it work?
- Why do people use Totspot?
- Paraphrase the following excerpt:

As a final project, ask student to come up with a set of rules for Elementary and Middle School Internet users. What should be OK? What should be off limits? What do younger students need to know before they go online?
Essay Fun: Let the writers write. They should have an essay going. Give them the period to work on it.
