Showtime!

We’re going to show our DSPs today. I’ll give you 10-15 minutes to iron out any technical problems and then we’ll see what you’ve come up with.  I’m very excited to see what you have.

Next, I’m going to ask you to write a 2-part blog post.

First, reflect on what you saw with the DSPs.  Which DSPs were the most engaging, most thought provoking, funniest, and well made?  Please describe specifically what you liked the most.

Second, we will be watching, reading, and discussing A Raisin in the Sun.  When you think about the conflicts of race in this country and in this school what are your first impressions?  Is the experience of living in America very different depending on the color of your skin?  How? Why?  What has your personal experience been in living with/interacting with people of a different race/ethnicity?  What do you think the future holds for us in terms of race relations?

Then we’ll start with the movie in class.
