So, this is Reader’s Choice.

You’re in the right place if you want to take a class where you read whatever you want (pretty much), write about it a bit, and get to call it a class.

I’ll talk a bit about the class and go through the syllabus we use.

Next, we’ll get set up with blogs. Go here and follow the instructions.  Once you get your blog all set up, here is your first blog post topic. Try to write about 100-200 words.

What books have you read that you enjoyed?  Why?  Thinking about this class what kinds of reading do you think you have the best chance to enjoy?

If we have time, I’d like you to read this article about books and cell phones.  What would make reading more attractive to teens?  We’ll talk.

Finally, we’ll go the library and see Ms. Gilman who will give us some ideas for good books.  On Thursday, we’ll start reading.
