Ok, how can we improve our ability to construct sentences?  One way is to practice combining sentences and create longer, more complex structure.  The dudes at Guide to Grammar and Writing have this site to help us get started.
Use this document to do your sentence combining.

First, we’ll get our analytical brains online by looking at a Proverb and doing a 10 minute close reading in small groups.
Then, we’re on to the big Socratic Seminar. Bring your SocSem study sheet.
Finally, please read this article and write a 200+ word blog post.
